IEPNG's highest grade of recognition — conferred, not applied for.
Honorary Fellow is the highest grade of recognition IEPNG can confer.
It is not attained through the usual pathway of qualifications and years of practice, but is awarded to individuals — whether professional engineers or not — who have made a distinguished and exceptional contribution to the engineering profession, or to the Institution itself, in Papua New Guinea.
Nominees are typically people whose standing, leadership, or service has materially advanced engineering practice, education, or the interests of IEPNG, and election to the grade is generally reserved to Council rather than the standard membership application process.
Good to Know
Honorary Fellowship is conferred by Council, not applied for through the standard membership process. It recognises contribution and service — engineering qualifications are not a prerequisite.
